Coptic Stitch Bookbinding - Make a Sketchbook March 6
In this workshop, participants will learn how to cover cardboard with decorative paper, and assemble a blank journal using the exposed-spine sewing technique known as the Coptic Stitch. Coptic bindings are characterized by one or more sections paper sewn through their folds, and attached to each other with chain stitch linkings across the spine. This binding style is non-adhesive and flexible.
Everyone will complete and take home a book full of pages ready to create on.

Kids over 12 years may be paid participants with a paid participating adult.
