APEx: Annual Place des Arts Student Exhibition
The APEx Student Exhibition is an annual event showcasing the unique artwork created by registered Place des Arts visual arts students of all ages. Featuring art from the diverse range of classes that Place des Arts offers, APEx will include paintings, ceramics, drawing, comics, pottery, fibre arts and even photography.
For many students, APEx is their introduction to exhibiting and provides new students with the knowledge and confidence they need to improve their practice and explore new concepts and techniques. This is an exhibition for witnessing artistic growth and supporting the work of developing art students in the Maillardville community.
APEx: Annual Place des Arts Alumni Exhibition
The APEx Alumni Exhibition is a homecoming exhibition for talented Place des Arts graduates. Over decades of teaching, supporting, mentoring and interacting with thousands of developing artists, musicians, dancers, writers, filmmakers and animators, Place des Arts is pleased to have made an impact in the growth of exceptional artists who have pushed their personal practice to new heights.
This Alumni exhibition is Place des Arts’ chance to invite their prodigal students back to share with the current student base their progress, their successes and their stories. With such a diverse array of talent on display, the alumni exhibition demonstrates what one can accomplish through hard work and creativity, and inspires a new generation of artists in Maillardville.
