The kiln can be a humbling enemy, reminding any potter to slow down and pay attention. Pushing the limits of the clay too hard and too fast could backfire badly leaving a mess of damage and destruction in its wake.
Shown here is my humbling. Sugar Mamas, one of my most popular item (used to keep your brown sugar soft) exploded by the masses. Fortunately, only this shelf was affected and not the rest of the full kiln. By not assuring these items had dried thoroughly caused a huge explosion. Out of about 50, there were only 6 survivors.
But if your waiting for a sugar mama to help keep your brown sugar soft or to give as a gift don't worry I got right to it and made more.
