Made for my friends at Moksha Burnaby where my husband and I have been founding members since their opening. I donate cups each year to their tea cupboard but loving yoga I wanted to make something I love that honers our fellow yogi.
My second pottery passion is wood fired pottery and here you see this years latest pottery prizes out of the wood fire kiln. My chickens from start to finish. See them at our Muck Sisters Exhibition at Leigh Square, August 2016.
Every year I have to sort and clean my pottery storage, what I call the warehouse (a portion of the garage). When I clean it up and organize it, i can inventory what needs to be l made for this selling season and customers can come by to buy the gifts and wants they need when they want (and i'm not embarrassed about it).
This year I had a couple of regular customer, friends over to look for some gifts. they were tripping over stuff, grabbing things without prices and say things like, "this is awesomely overwhelming".
Into the visit Allison suggested she and her friend sort out the warehouse with me. Allison is a personal organizer.
And so we got started. And a fun day it was. First we took everything out and sorted it on the driveway. Then methodically put all the pieces back in. It looks great and I feel proud to show it off.
First opportunity to show it off and all the new work from the Artist in Residence.
